A mini-quest developed for 1st grade by Kamal Suga
Task: Help!!! The teachers are going crazy because many of the students come to school poorly prepared with school supplies. The principal thinks it will be a good idea to open a supply store for the teachers’ sanity. Several classes were selected to help in the process. Our class will locate the price of the items to be stocked in the store and when the supplies arrive we will label them with the prices. Finally,the students will create flyers to advertise the opening of the store.

The Process:
Part 1
1. Complete the cyberhunt to learn about money.
PART 2
1. Go to your assigned areas
2. Print the supply worksheet
3. Look over the supply sheet
4. Decide who will look up the prices and who will complete the price sheet
5. Go to the computer and look up the prices using this site: store
6. Place your names on the supply sheet and turn it into the teacher
Part 3
Create a flyer to advertise the opening of the store
1. Open a new WORD DOCUMENT
2. Type the name of the store and the date the store will open
3. Locate three items that are on your supply sheet and then copy and paste at least three pictures from this site: store
4. List the price of each picture
5. Print and give it to your teacher
