Don't Get Stuck in the World Wide Web !

Project Description

The Internet uses communication in ways never before experienced.  People can talk to friends around the world, shop while sitting at home, and research anything, any time.

However, the Internet is so vast, special training is required to “surf the net.”  First time users find the Internet frustrating for many reasons because much of the information is not legitimate, the information is not easy to reach, and the search engines are confusing.

A new search engine will aid the researching process by being user friendly, and it will only have education sites.  This will make hard to find websites more accessible and eliminate the confusion brought on by the World Wide Web.  It is important for students to learn these tasks because they will be using the internet for research the rest of their lives.  Unless they understand how to find and organize information, students will be lost in the web.  Students will help design an educational search engine, enter categorized data into it, and finally invent instructions to explain the features of the new user friendly search engine.
