Money Making Venture

Project Description
Students rarely have an understanding of the concept of money. They don’t understand its value, its power, or its purpose. They also don't know how it is obtained and how it is saved.

By creating real-life simulations and applications, students will gain a greater understanding of the “big picture” of money. By earning, saving and spending money, students will develop an understanding of the global concept of money.

The Union Planters Bank has asked our class to help them teach other second grade students about money. By designing, creating and running a store, students will apply their newly acquired knowledge about money. They will create a poster about money that will be shared with Union Planters Bank. The bank will share this information with other 2nd grade students.
