Project Description

The essence of life is survival. Animals and plants live in different environments that are called habitats or ecosystems. All living things have a basic need for survival. Survival often means adapting to a specific environment.

As learners assist the Miami Museum of Science in preparing exhibits that show different habitats throughout the world, learners will research desert, ocean, forest, and rainforest habitats using books, magazines, and the Internet.

To summarize their findings, learners will design and create diorama displays that will become part of the Natural Bridge Habitat Museum which will be open to parents and learners at a special Environmental Fair.
