Making My Planet

 

Mission Control

 
You have been selected by the United States and NASA to make your own planet.  You will work in teams of three to complete your mission.  

Each member of the team will have a specific task. There will be a scientist, architect, and writer. 

  • The scientist will use the Internet and books to get information on planets. 
  • The architect will draw the picture of the planet and its environment. 
  • The writer will write down the information you find. 

You will need to complete five missions to complete your project.  GOOD LUCK!!

 

Mission Control

 
First Mission:
  • The scientist will get information on the elements here on earth (air, water, food, etc.) using the Internet and books.
  • Use the chart to write your information.
  • The team will come up with a name for your planet.

Second Mission:

  • Your team will decide if your planet has air, water, food.
  • Use the same chart to write your information.

Third Mission:

  • The architect will start drawing the pictures of your planet (a far away and close picture).
  • The writer and the scientist will decide how you will grow food, build homes, and move around on your planet.

Fourth Mission:

  • The team will announce to NASA and the people that a new planet has been developed.
  • Using the picture of your planet and your information, the scientist, architect, and writer will talk about it and ask people to come visit.

Final Mission:

  • The team will make sure you can live on your planet and compare it to earth.
  • Use the Mission Log to tell me about your project.
