Task:

 

You will be part of Save the Rain Forest Team.  The Rain Forest is very important in order to prepare you for the 21st century.  Tropical forests once covered 15.3 billion acres reduced through cutting and clearing by 210 million acres between 1985-1990.Your tasks is to convince the public to stop destroying the rainforest. Your job is to develop a plan in order to save the animals and plants in the rainforest.  Each group will present the plan to the class.

 

 

Process: 

Students will be divided into five groups. They will be assigned different roles:

 

Environmentalist: You will study the environment of the rainforest.

          Zoologist: You will find out about the animals of the rainforest.

          Anthropologist: You will study ancient tribes in the rainforest.

          Botanist: You will find out about the various plants and how they

          are used for medicinal purposes.
