What
is the Technology Literacy Challenge Fund?
The
Technology Literacy
Challenge Fund is a five year grant program sponsored by the
federal government. Funds are distributed to qualifying schools
by the individual
states.
The
goals of this national program are to provide:
- Training
and support for teachers to help their students learn using computers
and the Internet
- Modern
computers in the classroom
- Classroom
Internet connections
- Models,
tools and training to support effective and engaged learning throughout
the curriculum.
During
the 2000
- 2001 school year, several schools served by the Area VII Learning
Technologies Center received TLCF grants. This site showcases their
achievements using the funds provided through the program.

this Site: C.A.S.T.L.E. and the TLCF
The
Area VII Learning Technologies Center partnered with C.A.S.T.L.E.
Technology Consultants, Inc. throughout the 2000 - 2001 academic
year to facilitate staff development and project development. This
site was created to share the results of this powerful partnership.
